Garmin Introduces New Force Pro Trolling Motor
Garmin has announced the release of the Force Pro trolling motor, featuring a brushless design with high thrust capabilities, multi-band GPS for enhanced positioning, and a built-in GT56UHD Ultra High-Definition scanning transducer. The system includes reverse thrust control, allowing for greater manoeuvrability in confined spaces such as creeks and dock slips.
The brushless motor produces 100 pounds of thrust while operating with high efficiency. Reverse thrust control enables adjustments without rotating the motor, providing more control when slowing or repositioning the boat. The motor operates quietly to minimize fish disturbance and is designed for all-day use with reduced sonar interference.

Anchor Lock and Navigation Features
The Force Pro incorporates multi-band GPS and an integrated heading sensor to enhance anchor lock performance and course tracking. Anglers can use the system to hold position near structures, schools of fish, or channel breaks. In calm conditions, reverse thrust reduces steering activity and noise, while in rougher waters, the system utilizes its full power to maintain positioning.
Integrated Sonar and Connectivity
The Force Pro includes a GT56UHD transducer that delivers Ultra High-Definition ClearVü and SideVü sonar along with CHIRP traditional sonar for detailed underwater imaging. Wireless integration with Garmin chartplotters allows users to create routes, patterns, and tracks for the trolling motor to follow. A compatible Garmin smartwatch can be used for remote control of steering and anchor lock.
Additional features include a lighted indicator on the shaft cap for improved direction awareness in low-light conditions and Garmin’s point-and-go gesture steering, which can be controlled via the included foot pedal or wireless remote. The trolling motor is built with corrosion-resistant materials and a reinforced pull cable to withstand challenging marine environments. An optional LiveScope transducer can be added for live sonar capabilities, with the Force Pro designed for easy installation of Garmin’s LiveScope lineup.
The Force Pro trolling motor will be featured at the 2025 Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Classic in Fort Worth, Texas, from March 21-23. It is available with a scissor-style mount, built-in GT56UHD transducer, and a choice of 50- or 57-inch shaft lengths for $3999.99 and $4099.99, respectively.
