Garmin has announced a collaboration with Clippd, a data‐driven performance platform that offers detailed analysis to support improvements in a golfer’s game. The integration will combine Garmin’s on-course data with Clippd’s analytical tools, providing players with a comprehensive view of their performance.

The partnership will allow data collected from Garmin smartwatches—equipped with shot detection capabilities—and paired with Approach CT10 sensors for club tracking, to be incorporated into Clippd’s system. This integration is designed to help golfers review their shot quality, track overall skill levels, and identify specific areas for development.

According to Susan Lyman, Garmin’s Vice President of Consumer Sales and Marketing, the collaboration offers customers an opportunity to visualise all aspects of their game and pinpoint where improvements can be made. Piers Parnell, Clippd’s CEO, commented that the integration of Garmin’s golf data into the performance software will provide a clearer and more precise picture of a golfer’s game.

Developed by a team of experienced golfers, the Clippd platform provides various performance metrics including overall player quality, shot quality, scoring influence, personalised practice plans, and trend analysis. The company is the first to utilise the Garmin Golf Premium API, which grants third-party applications access to on-course and practice session data from Garmin devices, with user consent.

The collaboration is expected to support both amateur and professional golfers in tracking their progress and refining their performance over time.
