Garmin Fenix 8 Public Beta 13.22
Garmin is rolling out Public Beta 13.22 for the Fenix 8 Series
Supported Models:
- Fenix 8 AMOLED: 43mm, 47mm, 51mm
- Fenix 8 Solar: 47mm, 51mm
- Enduro 3
- Fenix E
Update Overview:
- This Beta update is available “Over The Air” (OTA)
- Public Beta Users: Updates will arrive within 24–48 hours for those in the target rollout percentage. You can also manually request the update:
- On your watch: Menu > System > Software Update > Check for Updates.
- This option works even if you’re outside the target rollout percentage.

Update Methods:
- OTA Delivery: Updates are sent via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi (referred to as ‘available OTA’).
- Garmin Express: Users within the rollout percentage can also update via Garmin Express on a computer.
Bug Reporting:
- Report issues in the Beta Bug Reports forum.
- The Beta Wiki provides guides on accessing watch files, handling crashes, and bug reporting requirements.
Important Notes
ECG and Dive Features:
- These features are disabled in Beta software for the Fenix 8 series.
- To retain these features, avoid joining the Public Beta program.
- If Beta software is installed, you can backdate to Live software to re-enable these features.
- After backdating, ECG setup is required. More information: ECG App Setup.
- ECG and Dive features will return in Beta updates nearing Live status and remain in Live software updates.
RAM File Saving:
This update modifies how RAM files are saved after crashes. Refer to the What to do after a freeze or crash wiki page for details.
