Garmin and Qualcomm Unveil Unified Cabin 2025: A Next-Gen Digital Cockpit Solution

Garmin and Qualcomm Technologies have announced a significant collaboration at CES 2025, unveiling the Garmin Unified Cabin 2025. This next-generation digital cockpit system is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Cockpit Elite platform, marking a key development in automotive technology.

The Unified Cabin 2025 features a centralised domain controller and advanced hardware designed for software-defined vehicles. It utilises Qualcomm’s top-performing CPU, Adreno GPU, and Hexagon Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to deliver immersive, AI-accelerated experiences. Capabilities include enhanced voice assistants, customisable themes, and seamless integration across vehicle displays.

 

Garmin and Qualcomm have a history of collaboration dating back to 2019, including the development of domain controllers for major automotive OEMs. This latest project builds on that foundation, aiming to provide automakers with scalable and innovative in-vehicle technology.

Matt Munn, Executive Vice President of Garmin Automotive OEM, highlighted the importance of the partnership, stating, “This collaboration drives the capabilities and scalability of next-generation domain controllers.” Nakul Duggal, General Manager at Qualcomm, added that the partnership redefines in-vehicle experiences with cutting-edge AI integration.

The Garmin Unified Cabin 2025 is on display at the Garmin booth during CES, showcasing its potential to set a new standard for vehicle infotainment and control systems.
